I am a woman,
if only you still care about my voice,
I am a Muslim,
if only you stop being prejudice,
I am a human being,
if only you know what does this mean.

I am a human being,
I have a story and I want you to listen.
A simple story about humanity
that you often forget and neglect.

I am a human being,
and I suppose we both are,
But my brain and heart function better than yours,
Because I know how devastating it is
to lose someone that I love,
to lose something that I own,
to lose the freedom that is no longer FREE.

I am a human being,
and too bad that I am not a Palestinian,
But hey, I am not blind,
I can see the inhumane actions that you have done,
I can see the tears in those eyes,
I can see the fears that haunt them.

I am a human being,
and let's not talk about religion here,
what's the use of 'religion' if the world isn't in BALANCE,
Do not label religion as an excuse,
I don't even know if you people still believe in God,
but let's just stop and think.

I am a human being,
The kid that you just stole his life from, is a human being,
The father that you just killed, is a human being,
The woman that you just harassed, is a human being,
And the place that you just bombed, is HOME to millions of human beings,

Since you're a human being too, would you rather be in their positions?
Ask yourself, what do I want in life?
Do you think you have the Authority from High Above to do this?
Ask yourself, what's good for my country versus what's right for those suffering people?
Don't simply do something just because 'Someone asked me to do this'.
Don't simply do something just because 'I'm paid to do this'

Because we are all human beings,
We have the choice to think and decide for our own life,
But that doesn't mean we can make decisions for others,
Don't kill their future and destroy their hope,
Just think of the word humanity,
Look up the dictionary, ask your parents, your teachers,
or perhaps, your kids know the word better.

I am a human being,
and I am begging you,
Please stop this 'massacre',
if you allow me to use this word instead,
or any other other word that can deliver a better message,
occupation? war? injustice?
And please, do not forget this one important thing,

YOU are a human being, too.
